Intown Coffeehouse was born out of a love of music and a desire for deepening friendships. What was once an abandoned dilapidated, mold and rodent invested house has become a live music hangout and coffeehouse style meeting space for young adults. It's located at the corner of Lavista Rd and Houston Mill Rd next to Intown community church and it's perfectly designed as an intimate live music venue for the perfect "listening room" experience. Intown Coffeehouse features an excellent commercial quality sound system and theatrical lighting for the best house concert experience.
The Intown Coffeehouse vision was born in the fall of 2013 as two buds (Alex Fernandez and Ken Evans) sipped coffee at Java Monkey in downtown Decatur. Reminiscing about the good old days at Ken's "IF coffee house" in Little 5 Points the two dreamed of turning an abandoned ranch house at the corner of LaVista and Houston Mill roads into a live music venue. With a desire to support independent musicians and a love for good quality live music the wheels where in motion to birth a live music hangout.
