Our Story

Intown Coffeehouse was born in the fall of 2013 as two friends sipped coffee at Java Monkey in downtown Decatur. Reminiscing about the good old days at Ken's "IF coffee house" in Little 5 Points, the two dreamed of turning an abandoned house at the corner of LaVista and Houston Mill roads into a live music venue were local musicians could be supported and community building could be realized. With a desire to support local independent musicians, building friendships and a love for good coffee, the wheels where in motion to birth this live music hangout.
